Encore Performance: Another Land Made of Water

On Saturday, October 18, over 300 people came to Bucksport, Maine to share in the second performance of Another Land Made of Water. The combined talents of the QuasiModal Chorus!, Hampden Academy's Voices Unlimited, the community chorus Voices for Peace, and eleven talented local musicians, under the directions of Glenn Jenks and Heidi Corliss, provided an incredible, magical evening. The proceeds benefitted WERU-FM community radio.

instrumentalists and chorus An email from Meghan Brady: "I just wanted to write and thank you for the stunning & truly magical second performance of "Another Land". As a whole it effects me in all kinds of ways, from the broad schope level to the tiny, poetic and impossible to express moments. I felt particularly tuned to the magnificence of its narrative, music, and number of performers and, conversely, its humbleness (the community theatre in Bucksport, the high school kids, the endearing hearts-on-their-sleeve Chorus for Peace, WERU benefit, its one-night reincarnation for the people who live in the land, by the water that inspired it)."

Heidi Corliss, choral director from Hampden Academy, directs all the choruses for this performance.
